Welcome!

Children

At Beehive, we will provide a safe, secure, and nurturing learning environment, that fosters the belief that children are capable and competent learners.

We treat children with respect and fairness and allow them to grow confidence and resilience, through instilling skills to prepare them for their life ahead.

We provide age-appropriate learning environments that allow them to explore and learn with autonomy.

Whilst referring to the Early Years Learning Framework, we acknowledge each child as both an individual learner and as part of a community of learners.

Our Philosophy
  • At Beehive, we will build strong respectful relationships with families.

We strive to acknowledge each family’s unique culture and show compassion and understanding for different parenting styles.

It is important to us to take the time to interact with families and communicate both verbally and via online platforms to share their child’s learning each day.  We invite families to contribute their skills and ideas to enhance Beehives inclusive culture.

  • At Beehive, we will support each other as a team and listen to each other’s ideas as equals with respect and fairness.

We will pride ourselves in adopting positive relationships with each other, to create an enthusiastic and welcoming work environment.

We will show empathy for each other’s unique individual personality, and value the wellbeing of each member, both physically and mentally.

We strive to be continuous in our improvements by investing in our professional and personal development.

  • At Beehive, we recognise the traditional owners of the land, Wadandi Noongar people.  We will welcome cultural diversity and foster an inclusive environment.

We will provide quality service, supporting our local community, and prioritise those who are vulnerable.  We will value our professional networks with educators, schools, and tertiary providers to ensure we follow and deliver best practice principles.

We will engage with local business and community groups and are proud to be part of the unique South-West region.

  • At Beehive, we will value how nature provides endless open-ended opportunities of learning for children.

We will provide genuine nature-play based outdoor environment for children to explore in meaningful ways, to learn to care and respect the world around them.

We will recognise the footprint we leave on the planet and practice sustainable teaching principles of recycling, reusing, and reducing waste.

We will connect with the environment, and this will inspire and guide our daily programming.
